How to cut ceramic tile. The quickest way is by using a Rubi Tile Cutter. To cut or "break" tile, simply put the tile on the padded bed, against the stopping frame. Press the handle down firmly, and roll the titanium wheel along the tile, to score the glaze. With the wheel now resting in the bed, pull back on the forward breaker handle, so the T-shape "breaker-bar" will press down the tile to meet the up ward base to break along the score line into two pieces.
